Hi,
Don’t be nervous to promote the value of your service. It doesn’t have to be felt first. Every person knows (at some level) that they need to care for themselves more and that massage is a wonderful and therapeutic form of injury recovery and self care. These topics are very relevance right now, understood and well appreciated. People just need a reminder of it’s value and accessibility. Run an on line promotion. Do an email blast to HR directors and mother’s groups, sports groups etc…wherever you’d like to work. Put up flyers. Offer it to Plunket, or at hospitals or through midwifery connections (as it’s a beautiful gift for new parents!). Ask clients for referrals. Trial and error and just go for it boldly.
People will come from the effort (not necessarily the medium)…it’s a weird process like that.
