Reply To: Kia ora everyone,  Wondering if you know of anyone who might have a commercial kitchen within 10km of CBD that’s not in use at the moment, that can perhaps let The Cookie Project drop in to do some cookie premix for 5 hours a week? The Cookie Project is a certified social enterprise that employs Kiwis with disabilities to make delicious cookies. The team is currently transitioning to find a new permanent commercial kitchen. In the meantime, they’re looking for a temporary commercial kitchen to use for 3-5 hours a week to pack their cookie premix which is selling very well at the moment as an interim product solution during lockdown. They’ve delivered over 300 sets of the premix to help generate urgent cashflow to pay the bills. They also believe in kindness and that’s the reason why they’ve also donated 400 bags of cookies to charities just before lockdown, and dispatched over 200 bags of cookie premix during lockdown to those in need. Every set of cookie premix sold actually generates two kindness: Guarantees future employment hours for their disabled bakers, and donates one bag of cookies to Kiwi kids with autism (Children’s Autism Foundation). They have all the credentials, awards and recognition as a social enterprise, including being named the recipient of 2019 Attitude ACC Employer Award. They are an essential business with all the food control plan, health and safety protocols in line with COVID-19.  Your support will mean the world to everyone at The Cookie Project to help them keep the business running even during lockdown. If you can assist in connecting them with someone who can donate their commercial kitchen for 5 hours a week within 10km of CBD, please email co-founder Eric Chuah at nomnomnom@thecookieprojectnz.com or text Eric at 0279737181. Kia kaha and be kind to each other,Eric Chuah

Kia Ora Eric – I have asked around to a few people – seems that people are flat tak if they are an essential business, but I wonder about restaurants who have commercial kitchens who might not be that busy – not sure the h&s regulations will permit that – you will know – sorry we could not be more help – i will chase a couple more people down – Andy ps have you put this message out on social?
