LETS GET DOWN TO BUSINESS.

Question :
Hi, We own a cafe and was just looking over the restrictions for level 2. How are customers to pay if they are not supposed to come to the counter? If we monitor it one customer at a time is that acceptable?

From my experience over the last few days, the cafe’s ask you to make your orders online – so it becomes contactless. There are a few apps out there to enable you to do that – do a google but also look at this initiative – https://www.manaaki.io/1000websites/

Kia ora @rj. Also worth checking in with Hospitality NZ. I know they’ve prepared a bunch of quite specific operational guidelines in a number of areas.

There is an app developed in Mount Maunganui and being used here in Tauranga that may help.

    https://mnyou.co.nz/

Rising Tide in the Mount is using it – you will sit at the table, place and pay for your order online, and then it will be served to you.

May be an app you can use?

    Thanks.

P.S. I have no connection to the app above…just saw Rising Tide put a FB post on it and used it to order from there during lockdown.
