My cousin and I have just registered with NZBA as a partnership. What is the best advice in regards to organising a partnership agreement?
Kia Ora – well done, now can you let us know what NZBA is – not sure of that acronym. In terms of partnership agreements – I would do some googling for templates for partnership agreements, or try some legal firms like Kindrik Partners or even the Law Society Templates. Maybe tell us a bit more and we will see if the experts can give some guidance A
NZBA is the New Zealand Bussiness Association. We registered with them to acquire a business IRD number. If I’m correct in order for us to open a bussiness bank account we need to have a legal document of a partnership agreement. We are hoping we have read all details correctly. We weren’t sure who to contact or where to go in terms of getting an partnership agreement done.
Brilliant – sorry, but I have not heard of the NZ Business Association. I have heard of Business NZ and also http://www.business.govt.nz which is the Government. To get an IRD number – you have to go to the Government – which is Inland Revenue Department – a couple helpful links –

Do you want to have ‘free’ or you want to have it paid e.g. get a lawyer to do it.
