I'm Eric and the co-founder of The Cookie Project. A lot of people, including myself, didn't know that 1 in 4 Kiwis have a disability, and their employment rate is only 22%. We're a certified social enterprise that employs Kiwis with disabilities to make delicious cookies, using only the most premium Kiwi ingredients such as Lewis Road Creamery butter, Pic's Peanut Butter, Trade Aid organic fair trade chocolates, and Champion flour. In just 22 months since launch, we've provided employment to 30+ Kiwis with disabilities and generated 2,000+ hours of employment paying at least the minimum adult wage of $17.70 an hour. We've been very honoured to receive 12 industry awards and recognition in such a short space of time, including 2019 Attitude ACC Employer Award and Geneva Pillar Industry Award. We're embarking on our next chapter of growth, and we look forward to joining the Manaaki community to seek some help and offer some kindness along the way. If you know anyone who is struggling during COVID-19, please don't hesitate to reach out to us, and we'll organise a box of cookies or cookie premix to be sent out to them. It's our way to keep kindness flowing in circular. Be Kind. Bake Cookies.
