Gosh I LOVE this platform. Kia ora team!I’ve just had some great national coverage of my new business initiative bushboardroom.co.nz from Seven Sharp, here: tvnz.co.nzI’d love to leverage this with other media and just wondering if you can recommend any relevant industry or business publications that might be a good fit that I could pitch a story to?I.e – I’ve approached- Boardroom magazine (Institute of Directors)- Kia Ora mag (success, yay!)- Verve magazine has approached me, but very expensive to feature so I’m unsure on that one.Quite specifically, Auckland and Tauranga publications as those will target businesses within the catchment zone for travelling for a team day out/planning meeting in South Waikato.Similarly, online B2B platforms and publications that I can leverage or get a presence on. I’m new to B2B / corporate so researching :)The Seven Sharp feature hasn’t been a silver bullet (only a few enquiries so far), but it is possibly the wrong time of year and might be more of a slow burn. So the more I can get awareness out there the better at the mo!Nga mihi,Kylie

Tena Koe, I have a product that initially was received well into the market. I withdrew the product after some complaints were made about ‘cultural misappropriation’ and concerns around Tikanga. Is Maanaki in a position to support entrepreneurs at negotiations with Iwi? Thank You. Bevan

Kia oraI hope to connect with a high networth individual with a philanthropic, world-bettering mindset. We’re asking for $$ (obviously). We’re offering a holiday retreat home / bunker (off grid, permacutlture, flowing river, all the good stuff) on our rural property in Southland.I hold a strong passion for growth, futurism and regeneration. We have number of startups and projects answering big questions. It appears to be the time to go full steam with them and this partnership would be a huge step to ramping up our impact. We’re asking for a lot and making an offer to reciprocate that. I believe our offer goes beyond what money can even buy. This relationship could only work with the perfect person. A cash and ethics rich, but time and land poor someone, who grasps concepts like rural enrichment and the necessary shift towards a sharing ecconomy.I’m quite convinced such a person exists and that this relationship is possible. I just don’t know where to search or who to ask. There’s some advice that would be well received Nga mihiZeb

Kia-Ora :),I’ve been selling my Maori art from home (in Brisbane Australia) for the last 6yrs.  My main mahi was Maori Canvas art, however lately, Ive started doing Maori Vinyl designs on acrylic coasters, Placemats, Karakia Boards, Home decor items with Maori labels & Maori wedding stationery (invites, rsvps, thank you cards etc).  Ive currently got my daughter designing my website (she’s a uni student), but was wondering about other avenues I could take to expose my business?  Im already booked for some Maori market events in the area, but they may not even go ahead right now.  Ive read nearly every other question posted on here and love all the awesome advice you all give 😊.Thank youNgaire BeereMahau Creations

      Question submitted 17/08/20 @ 03:13pm

Hi there, I’m about four weeks from launching a business which will assess, place and train young people into the workplace (like a business apprenticeship).  I need to find a good brand/logo/web design company/consultant – we need to look good but don’t need lots of functionality at this stage.  We have the ‘stories and messaging’ – more look/feel/design needed.  As we’re pre-revenue there’s no government funding available (I’ve tried two avenues) however need to get this going ASAP – if anyone knows of a good ‘junior’ who might be looking for a side project?  Many thanks, Scotty

Need help on marketing.  I run a small Paddleboard and kayak hire business in Nelson and I am struggling to spread the word outside the region.  We are well known and get great local support, probably due to our location, but really need the heads up on how we can get word out to a wider audience.  It would be good to get help and advice about Creating and managing social posting, navigation of google ads and the benefits and costs of google full stop! You probably guessed I am crap at this kind of thing, and just don’t have the kind of money most of the tech outfits are asking for.i look forward to hearing from someone with the patience of a saint.nga mihi nuiToby

      Question submitted 13/08/20 @ 09:20am

kia ora,I’m writing to ask about my prints.  I am an artist who sells entertainment and arts content in physical form and digitally, although things aren’t moving as well as I would hope, in fact I am basically moving nothing at all. I use facebook predominantly as my source for running promotions and can’t afford to run ads right now.  I have two websites: rogerwhiteside.com which is set up in a blog on wordpress and rogerwhiteside.co.nz which is free hosted.I realise I need to perform my music to gain traction with a fan base etc and probably to hold exhiibitions to sell art, I just don’t have any funding behind me to initiate anything.  I have little to no equipment other than a computer, really basic phone and the internet (which actually is a lot and helps heaps).Any advice for what to do next would be amazing and much appreciated thank you.
